Teamwork
One of the most important aspects of the healthcare field is teamwork. As I finish the work week, I feel grateful for the dynamic and aspiring team members I have the opportunity to work alongside every day at Advantage Care Rehab (ACR) and Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center (VVRNC).

Teamwork in a healthcare setting is defined by a dynamic process including more than two professionals with complementary background and skills, sharing goals and exercising collaborative effort in evaluating, assessing and planning patient care. This defines us at ACR and VVRNC, as we exhibit the excellence of finding the most qualified team members to fit this description. As professionals we collaborate with each other on a daily basis and I have the upmost confidence that we, as a team, are providing proactive and effective treatment interventions.

I joined the ACR team about a year and a half ago. Although days or maybe even weeks can be challenging, I stand confident in knowing ACR is always looking ahead and educating our team about the future. From sharing articles to in-services, ACR provides a wide variety of diverse, forward thinking material. Because of this I feel comfortable to advocate for all of therapy and show our residents and their families how much therapy can provide.
  

Furthermore, I feel privileged to be able to grow professionally with such an amazing group of people who come from diverse backgrounds. I would like to thank everyone who has helped, encouraged, guided and educated me on my journey as a therapy professional. 

Meet Jennifer Dudek
Jennifer is a graduate Pennsylvania College of Technology with Associate in Applied Health Sciences, focus on Occupational Therapy. She comes previously experienced as a PRN therapist various LTC facilities in Lycoming and surrounding counties, left staff COTA position at a LTC facility to come to ACR at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center to be a staff COTA and became the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) in January 2017. Jennifer is a newlywed and in her spare time she enjoys cross fit and spending time with her three dogs. Fun fact about Jennifer, she loves homemade soup.

Brian Wingard, PTA Advantage  Home Health Services, LLC Feel the Advantage I have been working for Advantage for almost 4 years now as a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Advantage Home Health Services Altoona office. During this time, I have been going to school part-time for Licensed Professional Counseling.  I can honestly say that Advantage Home Health  Services has been very supportive while I’ve been working toward my second degree.  My co-workers and supervisor have been encouraging, and everyone has such a positive attitude.  After I graduate with my Licensed Professional Counseling degree, I have even been encouraged to stay on in the physical therapy field as well as social services at Advantage.
