Student Clinical Affiliations
We
want to take a few minutes to share AdvantageCare Rehabilitation’s philosophy
and thoughts on Clinical Education of therapy students.
As a company, we have student affiliation agreements with many colleges and universities across the state. We feel that this benefits, in many ways, our residents/patients, our customer SNFs, our therapists, the communities in which we live and work, the colleges/universities, and of course the students themselves. As professionals, this allows us to “give back” or pay it forward. We also feel that this supports our clinical philosophy:
As
a company, we cannot (and do not want to) mandate that our therapists
participate in student education as Clinical Instructors. We do strongly
encourage our therapists to embrace the opportunity to serve as Clinical
Instructors and fully realize the value in working with students. We take pride in empowering future professionals. As a company, we dedicate ourselves to furthering the education of others and assisting with the professional development of our therapists.
Stay tuned for a future post from one of our therapy students about the transition from classroom to clinic!
